This Website is for use by residents of Northern Ireland who are 18 years and over.

If you encounter any difficulty or delay in the use of our Website, in communicating with us by e-mail or availing in any way of any of our services, we would appreciate you drawing this to our attention and we assure you that we will make every reasonable effort to rectify such problems.

General Terms and Conditions

Quotations: All quotations and any acceptance by Allianz of your application for original cover or renewal of cover are subject to your making full and complete disclosure to Allianz, including disclosure of all convictions, disqualifications, endorsements or pending prosecutions or any other matter materially affecting our assessment of risk, and to your providing Allianz with accurate and complete information. For motor insurance you should be aware that the nature of the driving licence held by you, your age, your gender, occupation, driving history, vehicle distribution and other matters all materially affect the assessment of the risk and the premium level. Unless otherwise stated, all quotations are inclusive of levies, and premium taxes.

Acceptable Use Policy: This Website provides quotations for personal use only and any quotation or insurance purchase must relate to a property which you own or live in, or a vehicle of which you are the registered keeper. This Website must not be used for the creation or transmission of any other data and information relating to the Allianz products must not be collected for any commercial purposes. Inappropriate use may be subject to legal action.

Acknowledgement: Your use of this Website and its services is an acknowledgement and acceptance by you that you have read and understood all disclaimers, notices and instructions and the Terms and Conditions and Data Protection Statements as set out or referred to in this Website.

No Liability: Allianz accepts no liability or responsibility for any failure, delay or problem in the use of, or communication through this Website, it being accepted by you that such use and communication may be subject to errors and delays which may be difficult to identify and to rectify. This Website and its services have been introduced for the convenience of potential customers but the usual reservations in relation to an evolving and developing technology apply. Therefore, reasonable common sense and prudence should be exercised in the use of this Website and its services.

Data Protection Act: collection and use of personal information: In these statements references to information include personal data and information given by you to us, whether in your Proposal, any claim form you submit to us or otherwise, and any information we may collect in connection with any product or service we provide.

Allianz shall be the data controller in respect of all such information, and references to We and Us in these statements and consents shall be construed accordingly. Allianz is a member of the Allianz Group.

Uses: Information you supply may be used for the purposes of insurance administration (including underwriting, processing, claims handling, reinsurance and fraud prevention) by Us, our agents, our reinsurers and any intermediary acting for you. In assessing any claims made, We may undertake checks against publicly available information such as electoral roll, court judgements, bankruptcy or repossessions.

Disclosure: We may share with our agents and service providers, members of the Allianz Group, other insurers and their agents, and with any intermediary acting for you, and with recognised trade, governing, and regulatory bodies (of which We are a member or by which We are governed), information We hold about you and your claims history. We may also pass information to the Claims and Underwriting Exchange run by Insurance Database Services Ltd and the Motor Insurance Anti-Fraud and Theft Register, run by the Association of British Insurers. The aim is to help us to check information provided and also to prevent fraudulent claims. We may in certain circumstances use private investigators to investigate a claim.

Direct Marketing: The Allianz Group and its agents and business partners may use your information to keep you informed by post, telephone, e-mail, SMS message or other means of products and services which may be of interest to you and We may disclose your information to any such Group member, agent or business partner for such purposes. Your information may also be disclosed and used for these purposes after your policy has lapsed. Retention: We will not retain your data for longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it is obtained. If you provide personal data to Us and you do not become an insured we will not retain your data for longer than 15 months from the date of collection unless you have not objected to direct marketing purposes (as detailed earlier in these Data Protection Statements) in which case your data will be retained for that purpose until you write to us to withdraw your consent.

Motor Insurance Database: Your policy details will be added to the Motor Insurance Database (MID), run by the Motor Insurers' Information Centre (MIIC). MID data may be used by the DVLA and DVLNI for the purpose of Electronic Vehicle Licensing and by the Police for the purposes of establishing whether a driver's use of the vehicle is likely to be covered by a motor insurance policy and/or for preventing and detecting crime. If you are involved in an accident (in the UK or abroad), other UK insurers, the Motor Insurers' Bureau and MIIC may search the MID to obtain relevant policy information. Persons pursuing a claim in respect of a road traffic accident (including citizens of other countries) may also obtain relevant information which is held on the MID.

Termination: We may terminate the Website with or without cause at any time and effective immediately. In addition, We in our sole discretion, may terminate access to and use of the Website for violation of the letter or spirit of these terms and conditions. -

Premium Transaction Charges for Mid Term Adjustments:

Northern Ireland

We may apply a premium transaction charge of £10 for each alteration you make to your policy.If a change to your policy results in an additional premium of less than £10 after taking into account the premium transaction charge then no charge will be made. If a change to your policy results in a refund of less than £10 after taking into account the premium transaction charge then no refund will be made.
